According to Dr. James White, our author, the Bible is the best-selling book of all times. One reason why the Bible is so special is because Jesus endorsed it. During His time, Jesus accepted the Old Testament as holy Scripture from God. He personally authorized and commissioned His handpicked followers, to teach others throughout the world, what He had taught them. Since the early church believed Jesus was God in human form, His teachings and the teachings of His apostles became a part of the Old Testament, as the Word of God.
Another reason why it is so special is because it was inspired. The Apostle Paul declared that “All Scripture is God breathed”, which means that the writing is from God Himself (2 Timothy 3:16). God used people to write the books of the Bible, but due to His level of involvement in the process, the writers wrote exactly what He wanted (p. 66).
