Most people like to be in shape, it`s not a fact, it 's the truth. Anyone that tells you otherwise is wrong. The population in the US alone spends a total 21 billion dollars on supplements in hopes of achieving the magazine body. Some people eat until they just can’t anymore and some people don’t eat at all, just because it’s what the industry tells them to do. Whether the problem is that the nutrition industry is flawed or if it’s due to people’s lack of knowledge I don’t know. It’s true that many of their supplements do help people progress with their fitness goals, but stating that they are the only thing people need is wrong. If people understood what is in these products and how it helps on improving results then they would also understand that without proper eating they would not get the results that the products so highly promise. Another thing that the nutrition industry doesn’t tell people is that these products are not needed at all, people can get all the required nutritions to build significant muscle or lose weight by just eating normally. With all the great food out there and all these different supplements then it should be possible to have a healthy diet while still getting the use out of the supplement the nutrition industry actually provides without going overboard. People believes the nutrition companies when they put a really muscular guy or a very skinny girl on the front of a magazine saying they take a certain supplement and that is the main reason they look the way they do. While the truth is that if people use the supplements alone then they will not get the results they are hoping for because alone the supplements make very little difference. If people stop spending billions of dollars on these supplements then the nutrition industry will be forced to start changing the way the express the need for supplements. They cannot put up these commercials without expressing the importance of a healthy diet with the supplement they are promoting. The need for this change is significant because there are so many people that spends so much money on supplements without having any knowledge about them, thinking they will be looking like superheroes in no time. What the nutrition industry should change while still maintaining their high profit is to start shifting their priorities to educate on real nutrition, and then on the side promote their supplement as an extra boost to the importance of eating
