Even if that is true, that doesn't make the child who is adopted any less part of the family. I have five adopted siblings and they mean the world to me, but in my biology class we had a discussion and adoption got brought up and one of my classmates said that being adopted did not mean you were as much a part of the family as someone who was blood related to the family. I, having five adopted siblings whom i love very much and wouldn't trade for the world, told him that he was wrong and was going to leave it at that. He then went on to day that the parents wouldn't love the adopted child as much as they would love a biological child. Yes the parents would have had the child for a greater amount of time and would know more about the child's background, doesn't mean that they would love them less. Kids that are adopted will have insecurities about being adopted. This will lead to possibly needing some therapy. My thought on adoption are it’s great as long as it is done properly. The kids can live normal, happy lives after being adopted. But if kids are placed into an unfit home then they might suffer from many mental issues, they may need medication and therapy. Adoption does not mean losing a family, it means gaining a whole new
