Since animals are not capable of speaking for themselves we don’t know if being in a cage scares them and therefore could damage their brains. Animals are not intelligent like we are so we don't know what is going through their mind does it hurt? does it scare them? we do not know and testing could be hurting them in a way that we don’t know of. By testing animals we can collect data to show that the specific thing they are testing is good for use but then what if it looks good to use but the animal is hurt in a way that can’t be fixed or identified by us and we just sent it out that the drug is good to use. we don’t know if that will happen but for all we know it
