The decision to selectively euthanize should not be taken lightly. Just as the effect on the environment by wild horses cannot be taken lightly. Native plant species are being eradicated by the sheer volume of food consumed by wild horses. One horse eats 20 pounds a food per day so imagine the toll, 75,000 horses take on grasslands and prairies in the US. While losing wild horses is a very sad point the truth is many wild horses are suffering greatly already. Many horses can no longer find water or food anymore and are starving. Not only are the horses suffering but many other animals are starving because of the lack of food.Euthanasia would save these horses from suffering while also helping many other matters. This i why a decrease in population would help in many ways.
As I stated before euthanizing part of the wild horse population will help many happenings in our world and the horses. Euthanizing wild horses will help the environment and other animals stop suffering. American taxpayers will save money and ranchers will have more land. Wild horses will still be in our world we will just be helping them and the environment thrive greater way .
