Many times parents never receive a diagnosis from a specialist. Parents may think their children are acting up, but in reality they could be suffering from a depression. Some parents have stated they started to notice symptoms when their child was 14 years old and did not know what was happening. Therefore, in order to develop a healthy well being transitioning from youth into adulthood the child should discover their objectives in life, strengths, and the therapist assigned to him or her should meet their client where they are at now.
