The main protagonists of the movie are Parma who belongs to the family of Chauhans and Zoya ,the only girl child in the family of Qureshi’s, both of them full of energy and life ready to kill each other out of hatred. Even educated people are not untouched by this culture of looking down upon the ones who do not belong to their own religion especially in the case of Hindu and Muslims in India. Both of these families do not respect each other not only because they are rivals in the field of politics but also because they belong to different religion. Zoya and Parma go through arguments while campaigning for their respective family members standing in elections in the college campus. Zoya slapped Parma when he insults her family in front of everyone. . Parma deceives Zoya. He tricks her by acting that he is in love with her and plays around her emotions. In the series of taking revenge from each other zoya ends up entering in Parma’s home stealthily and finds out that his mother also lives there in the room where she entered, and comes to know that she is not allowed to take part in the rituals of the family because she is a widow. She is not allowed to talk to others and go out of that room.
