Students benefit from losing portions of their summer since they obtain more knowledge with implementing smaller breaks. It reorganizes the standard 180-day school calendar in several tracks to choose from. Year-round schooling provides a better choice for students to develop and articulate their learning skills within a flexible schedule.
Multi-track schools provides students an educational experience that will better their learning skills. For one thing, lengthened breaks become reduced. “In a Year-round school, however, breaks are long, so the homework doled out for breaks is long as well.” (Scullard). Students tend to become easily uninterested in the summer time, and often left at home with nothing to do. Also, quality time with families become shortened due to this schedule. Year-round schooling breaks give both the students and teachers to have some time of relaxation because of their long and balanced schedule. “Short breaks are always replenishing and students as well as the teachers can resume their schedules with renewed vigor, a fresher mind and great zeal.” (Year-Round School Advantages and Disadvantages). Regular school breaks stimulates a person to remain focused. Luke Towler claims that the extended time off allows both the teachers and students to not feel drained from school. Furthermore, extended time off keeps students occupied in their learning and prepared to attend school when it resumes again. To remain focused in school, frequent breaks essentially keep a healthy mental and physical
