In this individual discussion post, a review of the merger of Yinscape and Yanngsearch is explored to create and share a vision of the shape and spirit of this newly-merged, cross-national company. Vision looks forward to desired outcomes and often looks to growth opportunities and therefore implies a need for leadership (Calland, 2015). Acting as CEO, delivery of a speech to top managers to communicate the personal vision will highlight the envisioned future for the merged companies. We will work hard, but will do so together. The message to you, and that I wish for you to continuously share with each member of your teams, is that while we may have different titles and responsibilities, we are all equal and will only succeed if we work together. As we are reminded from Peter 5:3, “not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock,” our leadership should be about doing and showing and not merely telling. I therefore plan to be with you every step of the way through regular in-person visits to each location, Mumbai and California, regularly scheduled management forums, and summits to communicate and engage the workforce. The expectation is that our employees are empowered, productive, contributing, and happy. To ensure their participation in our path forward, there will be regular and ongoing on-site visits and exchanges between all within our organization to provide input and offer suggestions. Following this meeting, another will be scheduled to share this same message with the entire workforce. I wish for all of you to join me as we share, listen, and seek input on our journey
