Substance(s)
Substances can break down into 2 different categories; Elements and Compounds. They are pure (only made up of one type of atom/molecule), and cannot be seperated by physical means.
Matter
Matter has mass, takes up space. There are Solids, Liquids, Gases, Plasma, and Bose-Einsteins condensates as their different states. Matter's also made of atoms.
Mixtures (Heterogenous)
Heterogenous Mixtures are the first type of mixture there is, is isn't evenly mixed and commonly referd to as "nonuniform".
Mixtures (Homogenous)
Homogenous Mixtures are the second type of mixture there is, it is evenly mixed and commonly refered to as "uniform".
Element(s)
Elements are pure substances that have only one type of atom (even if in a molecule) in their chemical structure. They are on the Periodic Table as well.
Compound
Compounds are non-pure substances that have more than one type of atom (even if in a molecule) in their chemical structure. They aren't on the Periodic Table and will have a chemical formula. Atoms will be different, but the molecules will be the same.
