*Only proved humans can teach unnatural behaviour, but teaching dogs to be helpless - not useful.

*Washoe in unnatural situation+enviroment.
*CBA -> no actual harm caused, but was it worth it for human curiosity?
* EIssues not justified with aims, wrongfully used
*Chimp more human - Surely should have more rights??
Physical Damage
*SHERIDAN+KING (electric shocks to puppies)
*lack of protection from harm -> real animals improves the ecological validity.
*SPECISM DEBATE - humans instead of pups could be more unethical. Humans more status.
-> arguers - all should be equal.
