What does the cell theory state?
The cell theory states that:
-all living things are made up of cells
-cells are the basic units of structure and function in an organism

digests lipids, carbs, and protiens into small molecules that can be used by the rest of the cell; also involved in the breaking down of organelles that have outlived their usefulness.
