What causes respiratory acidosis?

What causes respiratory alkalosis?
caused from conditions that cause overstimulation of the respiratory system. Fever, hyperventilation, hypoxia, hysteria, overventilation by mechanical ventilation and pain.
What are some causes of metabolic acidosis?
DM, DKA, aspirin, high fat diet, insufficient metbolism of carbs, malnutrition, renal insufficiency or failure, severe diarrhea.
What are some assessment findings of respiratory alkalosis?
tachypnea, hypokalemia, hypocalcemia, tetany, vertigo, convulsions, headache, parathesias
