Glomerulonephritis
inflammation of the kidney that involves glomeruli caused by allergic reaction to streptococcal bacteria. glomeruli become inflamed, swollen, engorged with blood so urine contains erythrocytes and protein. - may lead to renal failure

substances allow renal absorption of water and cause diuresis, an elevated urine flow- reduces blood volume, sometimes treat hypertension. example: coffee, tea
