Sensory - smell

Motor - move the eyelid and eyeball (4 muscles) and parasympathetic --> pupil constriction
CN IV - Trochlear
Motor - move eyeball, smallest CN, only one to come from dorsal, moves one muscle (superior oblique, pulley)
CN V - Trigeminal
Both - motor --> muscles of mastication, sensory --> facial sensation
CN VI - Abducens
Motor - abducts the eyeball (lateral rectus)
CN VII - Facial
Both - motor --> facial expressions and parasympathetic (lacrimal tears and saliva), sensory --> anterior 2/3rd of tongue
CN VIII - Vestibulocochlear
Sensory --> equilibrium and audition (hearing)
CN IX - Glossopharyngeal
Both --> motor - swallowing and parasymp (parotid gland saliva), sensory --> posterior 1/3 taste
CN X - Vagus
Both --> motor - swallowing and vocalization and parasymp (visceral organs), sensory --> visceral sensation and taste
CN XI - Accessory
Motor --> head movements (sternocleidomastoid and trapexius)
CN XII - Hypoglossal
Motor --> tongue movement
Phrenic nerve
In the cervical area, innervates the diaphragm (breathing!)
Brachial plexus
Innervates shoulder and arms
Lumbar plexus
Femoral nerve supplies the anterior thigh and obturator nerve supplies the medial thigh
Sacral plexus
Supplies buttocks, lower limb, and pelvis regions
Sciatic nerve
Largest in the body, innervates all of lower limb (except anterior and medial thigh)
