Orpheus
|
Son of Apollo and Calliope. God of music (singer/songwriter). Alternately son of Oeagrus, is a Thracian river God and a muse.

Orpheus' Archetype
|
Poet/Musician. Plays the Lyre. He is our Pied Piper. His music soothes savage beasts and he can inimate mother natures noises.

Eurydice
|
Orpheus' Wife. A Dryad (wood-nymph). She dies from a snake bite, but Orpheus tries to bring her back to life by going into the underworld. He sooths Charon and Cerberus, Hades and Persephone.

Orpheus can have Eurydice back if....

He doesn't look back while they are leaving the underworld. But of course he does, so he looses her forever.

Orpheus is heartbroken and inconsolable for Maenads kills him becasue Dionysus tells them to, his remains are scattered in the Hebrus river, but his head keeps on singing (prophesying) and his lyre keeps playing- Because he and Eurydice are reunited in death?
