Confederate: cannons, more soldiers, fighting for a purpose, homefied andvatage

Battle of gettysburg because It was the in North and Confederate forces invaded. If the Union had lost, the Confederates would have been able to march on Washington DC easily . The losses of men and material crippled the South for the remainder of the war. The Union was well equipped to replace any materials that were lost and were in a better position to replace troops.
