Broca's	Non fluent awkward verbal expression with reduced phrase length, agrammatism, and prosodic disturbance. Auditory comprehension is relatively preserved.
Wernicke's	Impaired auditory comprehension with fluently produced speech marked by paraphasic errors. Reading and writing are usually severely impaired
Conduction	Repetition disproportionately impaired relative to auditory comprehension and verbal fluency. Verbal expression may be circumlocutionary with numerous literal paraphasias
Anomic	Major feature is word-finding problems in the context of fluently articulated speech and relatively preserved auditory comprehension.
Transcortical Sensory	Severely impaired auditory comprehension and reading with spared repetition. Verbal expression is fluent but includes paraphasias and neologisms. Severe naming problems
Transcortical Motor	Marked absence of spontaneous speech and writing. Preserved repetition and auditory comprehension.
Global	Severely impaired naming, repetition, and auditory comprehension with nonfluent verbal expression that may be limited to jargon and a few words.
