    • Divisible
    • When a number can be divided, without
      a remainder, by another number.
    • Divisible by 2
    • A number is divisible by 2 if
      it is an even number.
      (ends in 2,4,6,8 or 0)
    • Divisible by 3
    • A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of digits
      is divisible by 3.

      ex. 246 is divisible because the sum of digits
      (2+4+6=12) can be divided by 3
    • Divisible by 4
    • The number is divisible by 4 if:
      a) last two digits are zero OR
      b) last two digits can be divided by 4
    • Divisible by 5
    • The number is divisible by 5 if the
      one's digit is 0 or 5.

      ex. 295 and 320 are both
      divisible by 5
    • Divisible by 6
    • The number is divisible by 6
      if it is even OR divisible by 3.
    • Divisible by 9
    • The number is divisible by 9 if the sum of
      the digits can be divided by 9.

      ex. 882 (8+8+2=18) 18 can be divided by 9
    • Divisible by 10
    • The number is divisible by 10 if the one's digit is 0.

      232 - is not divisible
