Name the four strap muscles.

Remember, the strap muscles are the infrahyoid muscles of the anterior neck and mostly work to depress the hyoid bone.
You can remember the names of the strap muscles through the acronym TOSS. Thyrohyoid Omohyoid Sternohyoid Sternothyroid. Note that they all insert on the hyoid muscle except for the sternothyroid muscle, which inserts onto the thyroid cartilage. |
