Provide FMF with arms and support air components to serve with US Fleet in seizure or defense of advanced naval bases and for the conduct of such land ops as may be essential to the execution of a naval campaign.
Provide detachments and organizations for service on armed vessels of the Navy and security det for the protection of naval property at naval stations and bases.
DEVELOP in coordination with the A, N, and AF the doctrine, tactics, techniques, and equipment employed fy landing forces in amphib ops.
Provide Marine forces for air ops in coordination with A, N, AF according to the doctrine established by the JCS.
DEVELOP in coordination with the A, N, and AF, the doctrine, procedures and equipment for air ops.
Expand peacetime components to meet wartime needs according to joint mob plans.
Perform such other duties as the President may direct.
