Albany Plan
Plan proposed by Ben Franklin that aimed to unite the 13 colonies for trade, military and other purposes. The plan was turned down by the colonies and the crown.
Writs of Assistance
Gave government officials new powers to search and seize colonial property.
Proclamation Line
Forbade Americans to settle in western lands.
Stamp Act
The British imposed a tax on all official documents.
Quartering Act
Required colonists to allow British soldiers to stay in their homes.
Declaratory Act
Parliament had the right to pass laws for the colonies in "all cases whatsoever".
Boston Massacre
Stamp Act was repealed but new laws were created. They ended the laws and boycotted British goods and formed mobs.

Formed by Sam Adams.
Provided a network for corporation and the exchange of information among the patriots.
Tea Act
Tax on tea.
Boston Tea Party
In retaliation to the Tea Act, a group of men dressed up as Native Americans and dumped tea into the Boston Harbor
Intolerable Acts
Limited local government in Massachusetts and closed the Boston Harbor.
1st Continental Congress
United the colonies in banning trade with the British and they send a Declaration of Rights to King George.
2nd Continental Congress
Established the Continental Army that was led by George Washington and governed the nation for eh first 5 years after declaring independence.
