SCBA shall be worn/used for any entry into an atmosphere which may contain an unknown concentration of CO. SCBA shall also be worn/used when the atmosphere has been evaluated with a CO meter and indicates a concentration of 35 ppm or greater.

|
The meter shall be placed in service upon arrival of the fire unit in which it is in possession of. This shall be done outside the building, in fresh air, and in accordance with the meter’s operating instructions.

If at anytime during the investigation the meter indicates CO is present at 35 ppm or more.
