In 1789 in France, King Louis XVI called together the 3 Estates, Church, Nobles, and Commoners, to vote to raise taxes. The 3% (1st and 2nd Estate) voted for the 97% (3rd Estate) to pay all the taxes in France, and they got mad and started their own government, led by Maximilian Robespierre. This started the French Revolution.
