What are the six nutrients?
Water, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, protein and fat (Very Fat Cats Want Processed Meat)

There are 22 amino acids and considered the building blocks of life and there are complete and incomplete proteins
What is a complete protein?
This contains all the essential amino acids
What is an incomplete protein?
Does not contain all essential amino acids
What are examples for complete and incomplete proteins?.
Incompletes- Grains, legumes, nuts. Completes- Meat, fish, eggs
What aids absorption of iron into the blood?
If you consume Vitamin C (a glass of orange juice) with a good source of iron (piece of steak) it will assist in absorption of iron
What is the function of iron?
Iron combines with protein to form haemoglobin
What is fibre? Why should we consume it?
Fibre provides roughage(provides aid in digestion and is present in bran, fruit and vegetables, nuts.

Provides the thyroid gland to with thyroxine to metabolise; foods with Iodine are prawn, seafood, iodised salt and Thyriod gland doesn’t provide enough thyroxine then effects different parts of your body.

Helps the blood absorb calcium from food in the intestines. Helps the body use calcium and phosphorus to build strong bones and teeth

Lack of iron in food sources, eat foods rich in iron and take iron supplements (Tablets)
