Re1, Ar2, Av3 Reexperiencing: wakes up because hears loud bang (mail slot) while was having same recurring dream of explosion, and waking up as though back in iraq tent as though event re-occuring. the loud noise acts as a cue to cause a reaction of phsysiological distress and psychological distress. 2:Arousal Patient is startled and excessively vigilant, peaking out windows. Because angry because toaster not working because not plugged in (poor concentration to notice). Becomes more angry becuase feels did not get enough sleep, troubles falling asleep and then unable to stay asleep. Avoidance: On the way to work, avoids middle eastern neighbourhood. at works, avoids conversation about iraq, saying he doesn't remember. avoids people who might ask about iraq and works hard to avoid thinking about iraq at work. turns down invitation for after work party, with restricted affect and insteads rents movie alienated because feeling so alienated. on the way home, thinks future is abreviated. |
