LD 25-DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

-spouse/former spouse
-cohabitant/former cohabitant
-dating/former dating relationship
-engagement/former engagement relationship
-person w/whom the respondent has had a child
-child of a party
-child who is the subject of parentage action

intentionally or recklessly causing or attempting to cause bodily injury, or placed another person in reasonable apprehension of imminent serious bodily injury to him/herself or another

In context of DV, simply co-tenants, not involved in intimate relationships, not considered cohabitants

WILLFUL INFLICTION OF CORPORAL INJURY (F)
-the person willfully inflicts injury upon another person
-who is the spouse, former spouse, cohabitant, former cohabitant, or they have a child in common
-must be actual injury, internal/external, minor or serious
(bruise, lac, bite, scratch)

CRIMINAL THREATS (F)
-a threat to commit a crime resulting in death or GBI to a person or his/her immediate family
-threat must be such as to cause a person to reasonably be in sustained fear for his/her own safety or for his/her immediate families safety
*can be made to V or 3rd party
*verbal, written or by gesture; communicated by any means
-threat must be made w/ specific intent that statement be taken as a threat, whether or not the person intends to carry it out
-threat must on its face under the circ. made, be so unequivicoal, unconditional, immediate and specific as to convey the gravity of purpose and immediate prospect of execution
-V must be placed in sustained fear
