What is the engineering Log?
|
A complete daily record of events involving engineering. Record of all pertinent information pertaining to the operation of the ships propulsion system. A legal document held on board for 3 years.

|
Contains all changes of speed to the main engines in RPM and other orders received by the throttle man regarding propeller RPM. A legal document kept for 3 years.

|
Orders written by CHENG covering any special instructions and comments. Normally covering the hours between 2000 and 0800.

|
Contains ships forward, aft and mean draft as well as liquid levels on board. Submitted daily to the CO.
