t: reduce heat immediately DOUSING vic with cold water

apply wet cold towels to body and move vic to coolest possible place

maintain open airway

place vic on back, with shoulders raised
cold packs around vic shoulders neck
use fan if available, cold water bath is very helpful

open = open skin wound, bone fracture exposed
closed = closed skin wound, no break in skin, bone not exposed
