What does FEA stand for?
Front End Analysis
What is the goal of the FEA
to further analyze the skills and knowledge needed to perform the job and assess the technologies available for training the skills and knowledge, perform media analysis and determine the best methodology needed.
What is the R3 process during FEA
Reuse- the use of an existing object in a new learning event without any modification
Repurpose- use of an existing object in a new learning event with little or no modification
Reference- use of an existing object as an information source or resource.
The five content types will used to to relate to enabling objective statements
Concepts-categories that include multiple examples
Facts- are unique and specific info usually represented in the form of a statement
Procedures-sequence of steps that are followed systemactically to achieve a task or make a decision
Processes- are flow of events that identify how something works
Principles- directions that outline guidelines for action in which people must adapt the rules to various situations.
What is the purpose of NeL Test Track
An environment that allows developers to import and test their prototype lessons to ensure SCORM compliance
What is the purpose fo rthe various metadata categories as required within NeL Test Track
all metadata elements must be completed and completely proofed by the curriculum control authority for clarity and detail
What is the sequential relationship among FEA, JDTA, BCA
JDTA is the foundation
it provides detailed descriptions of the work performed by sailors and is the basis for the FEA
the BCA- details the cost and risk associated iwth each training option indentified during the FEA, the approved BCA will sure as input to the TPP
What are the products derived from conducting a JDTA
Knowledge, skills, abilities, tools and resources(KSTART)
What are two examples of multimedia-based test items and what is the rationale for their use

What is the difference between a formative knowledge check and a summative assessment
A formative check is designed to offer feedback to show progression
Summative determines how well learners have mastered the material
What are the two functions of a pretest
Use as a gauge for deficiencies in entry-level skills and knowledge
Directs learners to new information, reducing boredom by not forcing them to review content already familiar with
