Selective for serotonin receptors 1B and 1D in cranial arteries causing vasoconstriction and a reduction in inflammation
Forms and strengths of Imitrex
Tablets (25mg, 50mg, 100mg);
Injection SUBQ (4mg/0.5mL, 6mg/0.5mL);
Nasal spray (5mg, 20mg)
Dizziness is more associated with which form of Imitrex
Injection

What are some adverse effects of the nasal spray form of sumatriptan?
Bad taste, dizziness, N/V, nasal discomfort
How are Imitrex tablets administered?
Take one by mouth at onset of headache and then one every 2 hours if headache persists. Max of 200mg/day

Aceon generic and use
Perindopril.

Used for hypertension
What class of drug is Aceon?
ACE inhibitor
What is the MoA of perindopril?
It works by competitively inhibits ACE, which prevents angiotensin I from becoming angiotensin II preventing vasoconstriction.
What is/are the forms and strengths of Aceon?
Tablet (2mg, 4mg, 8mg)
How is perindopril administered?
One tablet by mouth daily.
Does Aceon need to be renally dosed? Hepatically dosed?
Aceon needs to be dosed renally. CrCl > 30mL/min: 2mg/day starting dose. CrCl < 30mL/min not recommended, use caution

Does not need to be hepatically dosed.
What is the maximum daily allowance of perindopril?
Max of 16mg/day
What are some common adverse effects associated with Aceon?
Headache, cough, N/V
What are some important monitoring parameters for perindopril?
Serum potassium and serum creatinine; periodic CBC w/diff if the patient has renal impairment and/or collagen vascular disease
What are some Contraindications for Aceon?
Hypersensitivity, angioedema associated with previous ACE-i use
What pregnancy category is Aceon?
Pregnancy category D
What is the generic for Azor and its use?
Amlodipine/Olmesartan

It is used for hypertension
What are the MoA for the components in Azor?
Amlodipine works by inhibiting calcium at "slow channels" or select voltage-sensitive areas of vascular smooth muscle and myocardium

Olmesartan works by selectively and competitively antagonizing the angiotensin II receptor.
What pregnancy category is Azor?
Pregnancy category D
What are the forms and strengths of Azor?
Tablet [Amlodipine/Olmesartan] (5mg/20mg, 10mg/20mg, 5mg/40mg, 10mg/40mg)
