What symptoms occur during Opiate overdose?
|
MORPHINE: M-miosis, O-out of it (sedated), R-respiration depression, P-pneumonia (aspiration), H-hypotension, I-infrequency (urinary retention), N-nausea, and E-emesis.

How does Carbon Monoxide cause death?
|
First of all it binds to Hb w/ a greater affinity than Oxygen. It causes Death by directly inhibiting the ETC (respiration) in the mitochondria of the cells.

What are the reasons that Quinolones (topoisomerase inhibitors) would not be used for?

Contraindicated in patients less than 16 due to increased joint cartilage damage, and in patients older than 60 due to tendionpathy (tendon rupture).
