Step 1: Appeal to Force
Step 2: P1: Will be a threat
C2: Put forth statement for you to accept
Step 3: Appeal to force, therefore, no relevant reasons to accept the conclusion
Appeal to Pity
3 steps in fallacies
Hardluck story; premise will evoke pity, and conclusion will be a statement for acceptance.
Appeal to People(Direct Method)
You should sell vacuum cleaners. You will sell a ton, and they persuade you through testimonies.
Appeal to People(Indirect Approach)
Bandwagon- Everyone is doing something, so you should do the same.
Vanity- Stars are doing this or using this, so you should do/use the same.
Snobbery- You should buy rolls royce, because it will make you look rich.
Attack against person
1. Abusive- someone will try to discourage argument by attacking the person rather than the argument itself. If bad person no good argument.
Ex. Mayor wants to legalize gambling
P1:........ great premise
P2:........ great premise
C: Legalize gambling
Argument 2-always opposite of initial argument
P1: Mayor steals money
P2: Mayor got DUI
C: Dont legalize gambling
2. Circumstantial- Has 2 arguments as well as abusive. Basically bias disqualifies someone.

3. TU QuoQue- People should practice what they preach. Hypocrit not good argument.

Appeal to Unqualified Authority
A statement made by arguer citing a statement made by an unqualified person. So saying a bum knows best practices of wall street.
Appeal to Ignorance
the premises assert that nothing has been proven about something. The conclusion then asserts somethings positive about it. Ex. No one has proved that something, therefore, something is true.
Hasty Generalization
A general conclusion is drawn from an atypical sample. The younger population is stupid just look at jim, and steve
Slippery Slope
is committed when the conclusion rests on an alleged unlikely chain reaction of causes or events.
