side effects: myelosuppression, liver failure, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mucous membrane inflammation, hepatic cirrhosis, kidney disease, interstitial pulmonary disease, hyperuricemia, GI disturbances, stomatitis, alopecia, photosensitivity, rash

Contraindications: pregnancy, breastfeeding, alcoholism, alcoholic liver disease, chronic liver disease, preexisting blood dyscrasia, or laboratory evidence of immunodeficiency syndrome
