describe the courses of the ureter.
-comes out of the renal pelvis
-retroperitoneal
-descend vertically anterior to psoas major
-as the right ureter descend, it lies closely to IVC, lumbar lymph nodes, and sympa trunk
-cross pelvic brim, just beyond bifurcation of the common iliac artery.
what are the site of constriction of the ureter?
1. after renal pelvis
2. kinked as it crosses the pelvic brim
3. as it about to enter the urinary bladder.
what are the arterial blood supply of the ureter?
usually from 3 sources, any of:
-renal
-ovarian
-aorta
-common iliac
