Everything normal except ESR very high (>40mm/hr)
What disease is polymyalgia rheumatica associated with?
Giant cell arteritis - need to look for scalp pain, jaw claudication and headache to rule out
Myositis: Clinical Features
Painless proximal muscle weakness (deltoid, hip flexors, neck, trunk)
+/- associated arthritis
Myositis: bloodwork abnormalities
Elevated CK is key
Fibromyalgia syndrome: clinical features
Chronic, diffuse neuromuscular pain in the absence of observable pathology
Fibromyalgia syndrome: associated complaints
diffuse aching/stiffness
fatigue
sensation of swelling of hands/feet
parasthesias
tension headaches/migraines
IBD symptoms
anxiety/depression
