Compensated Shock

Decompensated Shock
|
|
Warm, dry, flushed skin, neurological deficits (paralysis or loss of senstation), change in respiratory pattern, hypothermia, early sign - hypotension, early- normal HR or bradycardia, Late sign - hypothermia.

Neurogenic Shock
|
|
Itching, flushing, hives, swelling of the eye lids, lips, and tongue, tightness in the chest, severe dyspnea, abd. cramps, N/V, Diarrhea, Tachycardia, hypotension.

Anaphylactic Shock
|
|
Fainting with no sign of serious injury or illness, pt. should recover faily quickly, should show only the early signs of shock except for unconsciousness.

Psychogenic Shock
|
|
Elevated temperature early on, decreased temperature later on, petechie (strawberries all over the body, under the skin), creeping mottling, tachycardia, hypotension, change in LOC.

Septic Shock
|
|
Dyspnea, Rales, JVD, Tachycardia, decreased blood pressure, increased respirations, diaphoresis, arrhythmias, pump failure, increased volume, fluid back up.

Cardiogenic Shock
|
|
Increased pulse and respirations, decreased BP, cyanosis, diaphoresis, internal or external bleedig, change in LOC, anxiousness, hypoxia .

Hypovelemic Shock
|
|
Severe headache; blurred vision, altered LOC, s/s of ICP (unequal pupils, paralysis, coma).

Cerebral Arteries Aneurysm
|
|
Sudden onset, pain, ripping or tearing sensation, pain may radiate to the neck, back, shoulders or abd., stridor or hoarseness, dyspnea, dysphagia, signs and symptoms of profound hypovolemic shock after rupture.

Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm
|
|
Lowere abd pain on the left, pain may be constant or intermittent, palpable abd pulse, lowere back / flank pain, unequal or absent distal pulses.
