Dermis Papillary Layer
|
superficial layer of dermis, areolar tissue, produce fingerprints and other ridges, allows heat to radiate to the skin, contains free nerve endings and touch receptors

|
epithelial membranes composed of simple squamous epithelium on areolar connective tissue. parietal layer lines body cavity, visceral layer covers organs, lubricates and reduces friction between organs
