A high percentage of children grow up with at least one brother or one sister, and there are many advantages to growing up with a sibling. One being that you have a person that will play and fight with you for the rest of your lives. Growing up with brothers and sisters helps to shape the way people act in the real world. Valuable lessons are learned when growing up with siblings. A couple are: sharing, caring, and that your actions can affect others when it is least expected. Siblings help alleviate stress that can sometimes bring a person down. Another vital part of being a sibling means getting lots of good practice at disagreements. The fights between siblings prepare a person for what can happen in their marriage, jobs, families, or friendships. The article stated that siblings have between 6 and 10 disagreements in one hour. Growing up with a brother and a sister, I know that getting along all the time is NEVER going to happen.
