The following are the 8 code of ethics for interpreters: -
1- Accuracy and Fidelity:
The core aim of this ethical principle is to preserve the meaning of all messages while performing an interpreting session.
The interpreters have to deliver all messages in the target language with taking in consideration not to add, distort, and omit the meaning of the delivered messages. It means that an interpreter is expected to master the target language equivalent to that of educated native speaker, moreover, he has to know well the terminology in both languages in order to preserve the intended meaning of all messages.
The standards of this ethical principle are the following:-
a) The interpreter delivers all verbal or written messages as accurately as possible.

The standards of this ethical principle are:
a) All errors must be identified and corrected by the interpreter as soon as possible.
b) The interpreter must reject all assignments that need knowledge or skills beyond his competence.
c) If the interpreter feels that a matter discussed beyond his competence, he must inform the parties and seek direction. He also must limit his obligations and maintain his roles.
d) The interpreter must follow the generally accepted standards of his duty and carry out his duty within the prescribed legislative requirements.
e) The interpreter must be transparent, and must bring to attention any condition that impedes full compliance of any standard of practice.
7- Professionalism
The interpreters must maintain professional conduct and comportment at all times.
The standards of this ethical principle are the following:
a) The interpreter must perform his duty with the highest professional standards in a consistent manner, and he must adhere to the protocols and procedures of the interpreter service
