The book is about a family, that lived in Afghanistan and was ruled by the Taliban, whose father was arrested because of that the family needed someone to work to be able to have money. So one of the family members was perfect for the job her name was Parvana, but the only bad thing is that she was a girl so she cut her hair and dressed like a boy. Parvana was the one who went to sell and to buy food or buy other things. One day one of her sisters was going to marry in another city that wasn’t ruled by the Taliban, but Parvana didn’t want to go so only her family went. One day Parvana found a person who told her that the city that her family went has been captured by the Taliban. One day Parvana’s father was released so Parvana and her father
