“The Necklace” is a story about a beautiful young girl called Mathilde Loisel who pursues to fit into the privileged class of society and is exasperated by her hard working middle class husband and barren surrounding. One fine day, her husband gets invited to one of the wealthy parties that Mathilde has long desired to attend, but refuses the invite on the basis of having nothing to wear. To fulfill this craving, she buys a fancy looking dress and borrows exorbitant diamond jewelry from her friend, Madame Forestier.
