To begin, Dr. Newman elaborates on the chemistry of the earth and how it all has to do with a perfect creation. For example, life would be nonexistent without the presence of carbon. Carbon is formed inside of stars, …show more content…
Newman touches topics such as the sun, temperature, and atmosphere. Many people are aware of the essentiality of the sun, but what many people may fail to consider is the faultlessness of its size. Had the sun been even twenty percent bigger, its fuel would be gone in only four billion years. At this point in life, the earth would have been burnt to a crisp by the sun. “On the other hand,” wrote Dr. Newman, “if our sun were only 20% smaller, it would not produce enough blue light for plants to make sugar and oxygen efficiently. Both sugar and oxygen are needed by animals, and they can produce neither themselves.” Also discussed by Dr. Newman is the earth’s temperature. Perfect for human life, the earth is warm enough to keep water a liquid to sustain all life, but cool enough that life is not destroyed. In addition to the flawlessness of God’s creation is the earth’s atmosphere. There would not be enough oxygen for human life if there were only a few percent less, and only a few percent more would mean all plant life would cease to
