Williams is the antagonist, throughout the play despite her several struggles and unfortunate childhood. William’s witnessed her parents death of her Father and Mother get bludgeoned by Native Americans. After Williams witnessed a horrific scene, she became an orphan. At age seventeen, she developed skills to be a servant for a for family. The family lives outside the town on a farm, named the Proctors. Williams is sneaky, smart and vindictive teenager. She develops a relationship with the older man in the house, John Proctor. Proctor who is married to Elizabeth Proctor, knows the relationship with Williams is mishandled. To get attention, Williams and her other teenage friends decide to accuse people of the most horrible event of Purism, Witchcraft. Tituba previously a Native American slave was apart of the dancing with Williams. She was her first target to accuse of WitchCraft. This wasn’t Williams last target she targeted at least 200 hundred more including, Elizabeth Proctor.
Throughout the court system the only evidence that used was, Williams spectral evidence. During court at times when the attention was brought on Williams she used her “abilities” to make a scene accounting that the Witch was using her powers. Which turned the negative energy from Williams to the one who was accused. The attention did not last forever, as Williams felt the tension and got questioned. Williams had the opportunity to admit the witchcraft thing was a fluke but she denied it. After the questioning of the witchcraft, Williams steals her Uncle’s money and fleds to Barbados to never be seen
