In the story “So I Ain’t No Good Girl,” written by Sharon Flake, an almost realistic setting and I felt that the author is trying to make a setting more realistic for the story, and for the reader, to understand. The story is about a girl that doesn’t care what people think about her. In the morning she almost got into a fight with one of the girls in the bus stop, but, Raheem stops her by telling her “To go to school without him.” The main character/narrative got on the bus, look outside and realis that Raheem was cheating her with one of the good girls; the red head. The main character knows that Raheem was cheating her because he is kissing her on the lip; she doesn’t know what to do. The story setting needs more detail because it
