From studying the different critic approaches to the concepts that I will be writing on, one of the things that I noticed was that while many discuss the lives and habitats of Alaskan brown bears. The critics will often times state that the lives of these bears are changing, one critic that mentioned this was Suring, who while studying the effects on brown bears on the Kenai Peninsula, pointed out that in many areas bear populations and their habits were declining due to human encroachment and interaction. This assumption was also brought up in a special committee report for brown bears in Alaska, which mentions that while there was an increase in interactions between humans and bears. Then it will help them understand that because of Climate Change not only is Alaska’s landscape changing, but that because of those changes the lives of the bears there are being altered. This then leads to the bears having their diets changed which causes them to find new food sources and more interactions with humans. In addition, my analysis of Disney’s Bears will help them understand that if Climate Change continues to change Alaska’s environment, not only will Alaska soon mean to us as a place that has been ruined by Climate Change.
