This could be due to it being so accessible and easy to get or due to the amount of advertising it gets. Advertisement is a huge part in showing off a product and alcohol is used very much so to do this. We see ads for alcohol everywhere we look from billboards to sports teams wearing their logos, seeing these advertisements everywhere puts into our mind that alcohol is just such a great everyday thing. By putting ads on people like sports teams like the all blacks with a large audience watching it gives everyone exposure to the drink and often isn't seen as a drug that could do you damage. Alcohol is available to buy at any time of the day and almost anywhere in places like supermarkets or a bar and restaurant it makes it easy to get our hands on.
