Schools are always getting closed for something happening, whether it be a snow day, natural disasters, a threat, or someone inside the school that could potentially hurt students. There’s gun shootings or threats in schools more than we realize and it’s always happening, especially in America. Adults go to work pretty much everyday, and so do students, but some adults have jobs that they use their phones with. They use them for emails, calling clients, inventory, and other things they need to …show more content…
There’s some apps that you can get to remind people about something, and teachers could use that to send reminders to their classes about projects, homework, or other things that are due. Students can also contact their teachers through a phone about any questions they have and when something is due, if they can’t get to that teacher to actually talk to them about it. Students in school also sometimes prefer talking to people through a phone than talking to them face to face, and texting can keep them in touch for stuff they’re doing in school, if they’re working on a project together, and to sometimes just keep up on

I believe that students should be allowed to have a cellphone fat certain times of the day for their own personal use. I feel if kids had their phones with them at school it could help them stay safe in multiple situations and could help them communicate with their family if they don't have an other methods to do so. In certain situations having a phone nearby for your use could be quite useful, in situations like lockdowns and such because of a hurricane, earthquake, etc. you could use the phone to communicate with your parents and inform them about what happened and tell them that you're okay and you could also use it to call for help in case of an emergency.…

I think phones should be allowed in school, we may not have to be on them all the time but we should at least be able to have them incase we need to call someone or if we have free time in a class we could play games, listen to music, or use google, dictionary.com, and an example of is our history book is online and at school sometimes there’s not enough chromebooks or Ipads. Mobile devices are kind of like a drug that children, teens, and young adults can’t seem to put down and that’s not always a good thing. The reason this isn’t always a good thing is because some kids don’t go outside and play, hang out with friends or know how the real world works, most kids would rather play video games and be in a virtual world. The kids that are so addicted to electronics end up nowhere because they don’t know how to deal with real people in life. In article #1 it says “ Lets turn this into a learning device and maybe eventually teens will see it more than just a device for entertainment.”…

Students should not be aloud to have their phone out in class or at school. If they have their phone out it could cause them to not listen, and it will just make a big distraction. It is ok if kids are just listening to music and are able to listen to the directions the teachers gives, but most can’t do that because they are distracted. They should put their phone away and listen when the teacher is talking, or just leave it at home so they can concentrate, and when they do have there phone out they can text there parents to come and get them because “they don’t feel good”. When the teacher is talking and a student has their phone out they should put it away so they know what to do.…
