I found this Yakudoshi party fun and very informative celebration (not to mention the great meal my wife and I had). I had an idea of the different types or the variety of food the Japanese culture has to offer, however, I think the most valuable lessons here were learning about the culture. Although the young Japanese couple had a hard time convincing their children to consume some of their meal, watching the young…

I have been to many places in Kahului to eat during my lunch breaks from school, such as McDonalds, Genki Sushi, Tin Roof, Dominos, and Costco. For most of these places there are waits, whether it’s sitting and waiting for your food or waiting in the school parking lot for the delivery driver to drop off my pizza. When it’s time for my break from classes, my friends and I always discuss what we are going to eat for lunch, most of my friends wants to go to Genki sushi, which is expensive and not within my budget. To be able to survive and have money to last us till our next paychecks, most college students such as myself have to take price of food into consideration.
