Evidence of this is the Slave trade. During the slave trade, several European countries took native people put of their homelands and forced them to do tough labor to learn the European customs. This was inhumane because they removed people from their native lands and many traditions and villages became extinct. Another reason this was so appalling was because instead of actually teaching them the European ways they just forced them to do all the hard labor. These plantation owners basically treated them like dirt and beat them if they did anything they weren’t suppose to do. Another example of how people were seen as inhumane was when racism started to become more popular. Today racism still does exist and it is looked upon as disgusting and shameful. This is where the thickest roots of racism occurred. This also ties in with the slave trade. When the Europeans went and conquered other lands and took them home, a superior race developed. During this time when the whites were superior over the native people, they had lots of advantages that made It hard for the native people to even try to become equal with the whites. One example of this was the berlin conference when European countries could claim land in Africa if they notify other countries of the land they were taking. However no African ruler was invited to the conference to regain land and control his or her own lives
